Happy Spring from Carlson Concierge! Your Summer 2026 Home Watch Arizona Newsletter

We hope your time in Arizona has been wonderful this season.

Thank you to those who have already submitted your departure schedules. If you haven’t yet, please be sure to send that information to Maureen@carlsonconciergeservices.com. Maureen personally manages all scheduling, which helps ensure nothing is missed across texts or other messages. We truly appreciate your help with this.

Service Updates for Summer 2026

Effective April 1, we have made a couple of minor adjustments to additional service pricing:

  • Key Holder & Errand Services: $80/hour

  • Handyman Services: $100/hour

We would also love to help with any additional projects you have planned for the summer. Feel free to leave a detailed list on your counter or reach out directly. With an additional team member joining us this summer, we will have more availability to complete those extra items while you’re away.

As always, we take great pride in referring only trusted, vetted vendors. During the busy summer season, these are professionals we rely on and confidently recommend.

Welcoming Edward Carlson to the Team

We’re excited to share that Edward (Eddie) Carlson has officially joined Carlson Concierge full-time and has earned his Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP) designation.

You’ll begin seeing more home watch reports from Edward this summer. His certification reflects the same commitment we’ve always upheld—professionalism, attention to detail, and continued growth within the home watch industry.

For our clients, this simply means another trusted set of eyes caring for your home, backed by the same standards you’ve come to expect.

How to Prepare Your Arizona Home for Summer

Leaving your Scottsdale or Paradise Valley home for the summer requires careful preparation. Below is a simplified guide to help protect your property during extended absences.

  • Set thermostat between 82–85°F (do not turn it off)

  • Replace HVAC filter before leaving

  • Leave extra filters if you’d like us to replace them during the summer

Water System

  • Turn off main water supply (if approved by your plumber)

  • Turn off water heater or set to “vacation mode”

  • Shut off water to:

    • Washing machine

    • Dishwasher

    • Refrigerator / ice maker

💡 Pro Tip: Consider a leak detection system. Scottsdale residents can register for WaterSmart through the city utilities portal.

  • Turn off surge protectors

  • Set refrigerator to a slightly higher temperature if left on

  • Check smoke detector batteries

Pest Prevention
